The Wood County Hospital Guild will be holding its annual Gift Shop Holiday Sale on Thursday from 10 a.m.
to 6 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The sale will take place in the meeting rooms at the hospital, which are near the cafeteria.
The sale will feature gifts, festive holiday table ware, decorations, top selling snowmen, and a special
line of Nativity sets. New this year are Snoozies for men, as well as women. Purses, jewelry and scarves
will dazzle the eyes. There is something for everyone on the Christmas gift list.
The ever popular bake sale will include homemade jams, jellies, cookies, cakes, pies and candy donated by
many area bakers and chefs.
The sale is the largest fund-raiser of the year for the guild. All profits will go to support the Wood
County Hospital Guild’s five-year commitment to the new Women’s Center at the hospital. The guild has
completed four of its five $30,000 payments pledged. Nearly 6,800 mammograms have been done since the
Women’s Center opened its doors in February 2010.
Parking is available at the back of the hospital and a circulating shuttle bus will take visitors to the
door. The hospital cafeteria is open for lunch and dinner.
