The Smokin’ Fez Monkeys, a jug band that describes itself as "the special ops unit in the war
against seriousness," will perform Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Pemberville Opera House and Sunday
at 2 p.m. in the Grand Rapids Town Hall Opera House. The band mixes standards with its own originals in
a style it describes as "cheapshot trashophinic retrovaudevillian gypsy hobo quackeristic wackhouse
