Cabaret to aid P’burg chorale
PERRYSBURG – The Once in a Blue Moon Players will sing on July 14 at 6:30 p.m. at St.
Timothy’s on 871 E. Boundary to benefit The Perrysburg Symphony Chorale.
"Life is a Cabaret VI", will have a French flair this year, since it occurs
on Bastille Day.
Hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and beverages that include beer and wine will be served
while local performers entertain. Entertainers include soprano Pam
Williams-Rumer, vocalist Wayne Anthony and pianist Charles Brown.
There will also be a Chinese Auction, which is part raffle, part auction, for various
pieces of local art.
Tickets are $20 per person; $35/couple; or a front row table of eight for $150. Call

Local entities receive grants
The Ohio Arts Council has recently awarded grants to two Wood County entities.
The Bowling Green State University Fine Arts Center Galleries received a
sustainability grant for $6,618.
Pemberville Freedom Area Historical Society received a $2,793 operating support grant
for the Pemberville Opera House.
School for arts gets paintings
TOLEDO – A significant collection of artwork, representing some of the Toledo area’s
most important painters stretching over the last fifty years, has been donated
by Medical Mutual of Ohio to the Toledo School for the Arts.
An exhibition of the selected pieces from the collection is on display at the
school’s Gallerie 333, from July 12 through Aug. 10 A reception celebrating the
gift will be held Aug. 9 coinciding with the August Art Walk.
Gallerie 333 is located in the Toledo School for the Arts, 333 14th Street, Toledo.

Czech polka,
food on plate
SEWARD – A day of Czech food and polka will be held Sunday at Czech Dancers Polka
Club’s Czech Hall, at the intersection of Ohio 120 and 109 in Seward.
Food and refreshments will be served 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $8. Dancing to the
music of Ted Lange and Squeeze Box will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Admission for the
dance is $8.
