Owens hosts harp concert
PERRYSBURG – Owens Community College will host the American Harp Society Day Ensemble
Concert on June 21 at 7 p.m. in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Oregon
Road, Perrysburg Township.
The concert is the culmination of Harp Week, which is four days starting Monday, of
ensemble rehearsals and practical application workshops sponsored in part by the
Northwest Ohio Chapter of the American Harp Society and the college’s Center for
Fine and Performing Arts.
This year, Owens Assistant Professor of Fine and Performing Arts Eric Wallack will
provide a guest workshop as part of the event.
Harp Week is open to any harpist who has played for at least one year.

Barbershop choruses to sing in BG park concert
The Pride of Toledo Sweet Adelines and the Voices in Harmony Barbershop Chorus will
join forces for a performance Sunday at 7 p.m. on the Needle Hall stage in
Bowling Green City Park.
The show is part of the Concerts in the Park series.
Angelwood Gallery hosts fiber arts show
GRAND RAPIDS, – Angelwood Gallery, 24195 Front St., is is hosting Fabulous Fibers
2012, an invitational show running from through July 8.
An opening reception will be held June 21 from 5 to 8 p.m.
The show is an offshoot of the fabrics show earlier this month at the 577 Foundation.
It is dedicated to showcasing the diversity and unique character of fiber and
fiber-influenced mixed media works.
Among the 16 featured artists are: Deborah Bewley and Wendy Jenkins, both of Bowling
Green); Gerry Brock and Susan Cayton, both of Perrysburg; Pamela MacGregor, of
McClure; and Nancy Beeman, Whitehouse.

Mosaic open studio to be held in BG shop
Gail Christofferson, of Animal House Glass, is running an open studio to work on
mosaic projects Monday and June 25 from 5 to 7 p.m., at Coyote Beads &
Jewelry, 178 S. Main Sr., Bowling Green.
Cost is $15 per session plus the cost of materials used. Materials available for
purchase: glass, nippers, glue, grout, tables, small and large windows.
Full use of studio tools and patterns during open studio time.
Rally seeks exhibitors
PERRYSBURG – Perrysburg Area Arts Council is still accepting applications for
participation in the 2012 Rally for the Arts.
The event will take place Sept.15, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in downtown Perrysburg
in conjunction with Harrison Rally Day.

Toledo troupe staging ‘Hunting Cockroaches’ at UT
TOLEDO – Glacity Theatre Collective will stage "Hunting Cockroaches" by
Janusz Glowacki, opening Friday at 8 p.m. in the Studio Theatre of the Center
for Performing
Arts on the University of Toledo’s main campus.
The show continues Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., June 22 and 23 at 8 p.m.
June 24 at 2 p.m. Ticket prices are $20 and are available at

Can" show with tickets will be available at the door only.
