Perrysburg arts rally seeks artists
PERRYSBURG – The Perrysburg Area Arts Council is accepting applications for artists and artisans wishing
to participate in the 2012 Rally for the Arts.
The annual event held in conjunction with Harrison Rally Days will be held Sept. 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 5
p.m.
The deadline for the $100 early bird discount is July 1. The final deadline is Aug. 1. The booth fee is
$120.
There is also a $25 non-refundable application fee. Exhibitors should submit three digital or
photographic images of their work.

Sweeney hosts music recital
Music teacher Ann Sweeney hosted a recital recently at the Weston United Methodist Church.
The theme of the recital was classical and jazz music.
Students performed on piano, organ, vocal, flue and clarinet solos. Performing were: Isabella Bean,
McKenzie Mercer, Zane Hagemeyer, Marcia Chamberlain, Joy Hobson, Elizabeth Whitaker, William Jenne,
Bryant Whitaker, Lucas Jenne, Benford Whitaker, Meghan Vestal and Rosa Bowen.
Toledo Rep casts ‘Hamlet’
TOLEDO – The Toledo Repertoire Theatre will hold auditions by appointment only for its 80th season
opening production, William Shakespeare’s "Hamlet" Saturday and May 19 2 to 6 p.m. Callbacks
will be May 26.
Directed by Matthew Gretzinger, performances are scheduled for weekends September 14 through 23.
Those auditioning are asked to prepare a classical monologue not to exceed two minutes in length. To

Concert House features sets of avant music
TOLEDO – Two avant garde musician from New York will perform in concert Saturday at 9 p.m. Robinwood
Concert House, 2564 Robinwood Ave.
Performing will be NYC-based composer, violinist, and fiddler Joey Molinaro, who accompanies himself with
two-boot foot percussion, and Keir Neuringer composes and improvises acoustic and electronic music for
saxophone, analogue electronics and Farfisa organ.
