Raisin Pickers play two local performances
PEMBERVILLE – Tickets are now available for the final Live in the House Concert of
the season featuring The Raisin Pickers, a trio of old time musicians from
Manchester, Mich.
The shows will be Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Pemberville Opera House and Sunday at
2 p.m. in the Grand Rapids Townhall Opera House.
Tickets are $12 and available in advance at Beeker’s General Store in Pemberville and
Washer’s in Grand Rapids, or by calling (419) 287-4848.
Children’s choir to perform
WHITEHOUSE – The Children’s Choir of Northwest Ohio will be perform "Life’s
Songs" on Sunday at 2 and 5 p.m. in Community of Christ Lutheran Church,

Silverbacks at Idiot
MAUMEE – The Silverbacks play jazz favorites at the Village Idiot, 309 Conant St.,
Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. for an evening of jazz.
The group features Bob Manley, saxophones and flute, John Johnson, bass and guitar,
Michael Peslikis, electric piano, and Bob Rex.
Composers’ life stories focus of early music concert
TOLEDO – Musica Antigua de Toledo will present "Trivial Pursuit," Sunday at
7 p.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 915 North Reynolds Road.
Composers featured include those who are remembered for unusual life stories or
events. The group will perform Renaissance and Baroque period pieces with
voices, recorders, viols, oboe, baroque violin, organ and harpsichord by Morley,
Dowland, Janeuin, Gesualdo, Bull, Mattheson, and Albinoni.
Performers are: coordinator Alice Neff Petersen, Barbara Craig, Sandra Kellogg,
Andrea Kissell, Donald Jackson, and Andrew Phillips.

Terra hosts Choral Celebration
FREMONT – The Terra Choral Society will present A Choral Celebration Sunday at 4
p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan Street,
The hour-long concert will include music from Baroque through Gospel, including
selections by composers such as Handel, Verdi, Bruckner and Moses Hogan, as well
timeless "Danny Boy," "Precious Lord, Take My Hand," and
"This Little Light of Mine."
Vocal faculty instructor Joan Eckermann will join the Choral Society in a performance
of the "Easter Scene and Prayer" from the opera "Cavalleria
Rusticana" and again on the classic spiritual "Didn’t My Lord Deliver
Daniel."
