TODAY
The Graduate String Quartet will perform at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore
Musical Arts Center.
The Dance Program’s Footlights show opens at 7 p.m. in the Whitney Studio in Eppler
North 222 with an evening of solo contemporary dance works choreographed by
students in the Dance Program’s DANC 3260 Dance Composition class. Audience
members will vote for their favorite performance of the evening.
THURSDAY & FRIDAY
The Dance Program’s Footlights continues with performances featuring student
choreography from the DANC 4270 Choreography & Design class, as well as
showings from Dance Program technique classes. The concert will primarily
feature contemporary dance works. Tickets are $5.
THURSDAY
Today is the last day of the MFA Thesis Exhibition at Dorothy Uber Bryan and Willard
Wankelman galleries in the Fine Arts Center. Gallery hours tonight are from 6 to
9 p.m.
Fiction writer Amelia Gray reads from her work at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel. She is
the author of "AM/PM" and "Museum of the Weird."
The 2007 Chinese espionage thriller "Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)," directed by
Ang Lee, will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater in Hanna Hall.
World Percussion Night will be held at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical
Arts Center. The concert features the Taiko, Gamelan and Afro-Caribbean
ensembles.
FRIDAY
The Wind Symphony will perform at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall.
The Glenn Osborn Retrospective Exhibition opening reception will be held from 7-9
p.m. in the Dorothy Uber Bryan Gallery foyer in the Fine Arts Center. The
exhibit will be on display from April 21-May 30 outside the gallery.
SATURDAY
The University Choral Society performs with the Lima Symphony Chorus at 7:30 p.m. at
Crouse Performance Hall, 7 Town Square in Lima. Call (419) 222-5701 for ticket
information.
The University Band and Concert Band will perform at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall.
SUNDAY
The Bowling Green Philharmonia performs at 3 p.m. in Kobacker Hall. The concert
features Hanson’s "Romantic" Symphony, William Schuman’s "New
England Triptych" and George Gershwin’s "Rhapsody in Blue"
featuring pianist Robert Satterlee. Tickets are $10 and $7 for students and
senior citizens. A $3 surcharge will be added the day of the concert. Call the

MONDAY
Marin Alsop, music director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, is this year’s
visiting artist for the Dorothy E. and DuWayne Hansen Musical Arts Series. Alsop
conducts an open rehearsal with the BG Philharmonia at 1:30 p.m. and gives a
talk at 7 p.m., both in Kobacker Hall.
