TODAY
The Steel Drum Ensemble performs at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.
THURSDAY
The Colombian movie "La Virgen de los Sicarios (Our Lady of the Assassins)" will be screened at
7:30 p.m. in Gish Film Theater in Hanna Hall. The violence that overwhelmed Medellin, Colombia, in the
1990s catches up with friends Alexis, a 16-year-old living in a boys brothel, and Fernando, a writer who
has returned to his hometown. The 2001 film uses nonprofessional actors to depict the lives of
marginalized people.
The Trumpet Ensemble performs at 8 p.m. in the Bryan Recital Hall.
Poetry faculty member Jennifer Chang will read from her work at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel. Chang, whose
debut poetry collection was "The History of Anonymity," is a co-chair of Kundiman, a nonprofit
organization promoting Asian-American poetry.
Paul Livingstone on sitar, Hom Nath Upadhyaya on tabla and dancer Mamta Upadhyaya along with the
university’s tabla ensemble directed by Rob Wallace will perform a concert of Indian music at 8 p.m. in
the Arts Village in Kreischer Quad.
FRIDAY
Flutist Lindsey Goodman performs in the Electroacoustic Guest Artist Recital, at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital
Hall.
SATURDAY
The University Men’s Chorus and Collegiate Chorale perform in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts
Center at 3 p.m. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors, and $3 per ticket
more on the day of the show; BGSU students get in free with their student ID. Call (419) 372-8171.

Pianist Jason Hardink,, NOVA Chamber Music Series artistic director and principal symphony keyboardist
with the Utah Symphony will perform a guest recital at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.
