The Faculty Composers Forum will be held at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.
THURSDAY
MFA students Melissa Mickael, fiction, and Karissa Morton, poetry, will read from their work at 7:30 p.m.
in Prout Chapel.
THURSDAY-SUNDAY
The Department of Theatre and Film will present "The Arabian Nights" by Mary Zimmerman,
directed by associate professor Jonathan Chambers. To stop her husband, King Shahryar, from killing his
new brides, Scheherazade entertains him by telling him stories of love and justice for 1,001 nights.
Performances are Thursday, rid ay and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Eva Marie Saint
Theatre of the Wolfe Center for the Arts. Advance tickets are $9 for students and seniors (ages 55 and
older), and $12 for adults. There is a $3 surcharge for tickets purchased the day of the performance.

SUNDAY
Pianist Thomas Rosenkranz performs at 3 p.m. in the Great Gallery of the Toledo Museum of Art as part of
the Faculty Artist Series. He will play "Sonatas and Interludes" by American composer John
Cage using Cage’s "prepared piano" technique in which nuts, bolts and rubber are placed
between the strings to change its timbre.

Violinists studying in the studio of Penny Thompson Kruse will perform songs from film scores such as
"Be Our Guest" from "Beauty and the Beast," "Speak Softly Love" from
"The Godfather," and "The Impossible Dream" from "Man of La Mancha" at
7:30 p.m. at the Manor House in Wildwood Metro Park in Toledo.
The 1972 film "Super Fly" will be screened at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater of Hanna Hall.
The film directed by Gordon Parks Jr. tells of cocaine dealer wants a fresh start at life, but he must
pay his dues first.
The Student Chamber Jazz Ensembles perform at 8 p.m. at the Cla-Zel 127 N. Main St. Bowling Green.

The Wind Symphony, conducted by Bruce Moss, performs at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts
Center.
FEB. 23
MFA students Anna Welch, poetry, and Paul Morin, fiction, will read from their work at 7:30 p.m. in Prout
Chapel.
The Caryl Crane Children’s Theater presents the musical "Hairspray," directed by Brian
Marshall, at 7:30 p.m. in the McBride Auditorium on the BGSU Firelands campus. Tickets are $9 for
adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 for students.
The 1999 Canadian film "L’ange Gardien de Mon P?®re (My Father’s Angel)" will be shown at 7:30
p.m. at Gish Film Theater. Davor Marjanovic directed the movie, which revolves around a Muslim family
living in Vancouver. They left their Bosnian home to live more peacefully, but the ethnic discrimination
follows them.

The Undergraduate Exhibition continues through Feb. 26 in the Dorothy Uber Bryan and Willard Wankelman
galleries in the Fine Arts Center. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 6-9 p.m.
Thursdays, and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
