Vincent headlines bluegrass fest

PERRYSBURG – Rhonda Vincent and the Rage returns to headline Bluegrass in Super Class Friday and Saturday
at the Holiday Inn French Quarters.
The Queen of Bluegrass will headline Saturday’s show, with two sets, one at 4:45 p.m. and another at
10:40 p.m.
The festival features a dozen national and regional acts, each playing day and night sets.
Music starts Friday at 12:30 p.m. and continues through 11:30 p.m. Performers scheduled are: Little Roy
Lewis & Lizzy; Deepwater Bluegrass; Bluegrass Brothers; David Parmley; Larry Gillis Band; and
Ernie Evans.
On Saturday music starts at noon and continues to 11:30 p.m. In addition to Vincent and The Rage, acts
are: the Winterfest Friends; Bluegrass Mountaineers; Dean Osborne; Idletymes; and Remington Ryde.
Charlie Patton will serve as master of ceremonies.
The festival also host jam sessions in the Indian Room.
Tickets for the event are $25 each day. Cash only. Children and 12 and under are free.
Vincent went on the road early as a member of her family’s band. She appeared on the Jerry Lewis Telethon
at age 5, and made her recording debut at the same time.
Touring with The Rage, she told the Sentinel last year, is just a continuation of her earliest
experiences.
The band now features Brent Burke on resonator guitar. Fiddler Hunter Berry recently celebrated 10 years
as a member of The Rage.
