‘Goodbye Mr. Chips’ at Way

PERRYSBURG – The film classic about a dedicated teacher, "Goodbye Mr. Chips," will be shown
Jan. 5 at 10 as part of the Way Pubic Library’s Reel Talk series.
The 1939 film about a shy Latin professor played by Robert Donat who devotes his life to "his
Boys," who only comes out of his shell when he meets a vivacious woman played by Greer Garson. Both
Garson and Donat were nominated for Oscars for their roles in the film.
The library’s monthly book discussion group will be reading the James Hilton novel the film was based on.

Sig Humanski, a retired Toledo teacher, will lead the discussion.
