Lil’ Ed and the Blues Imperials

Lil’ Ed and the Blues Imperials will perform a free show Friday at 8 p.m. at Grounds for Thought, 174 S.
Main St., Bowling Green. The slide guitar master and his long-time bandmates are missionaries for the
classic sound of Chicago blues. Lil’ Ed Williams and his half brother, bassist James “Pookie” Young,
learned from their uncle, blues legend J.B. Hutto. They are joined by guitarist Michael Garrett and
drummer Kelly Littleton in a band that’s been intact for a quarter century.
