‘Small Worlds’ exhibit a big deal at museum

TOLEDO – "Small Worlds," an exhibit of intricate, charming, disquieting and thoughtful works of
art on the smallest of scales, opens Friday in the Toledo Museum of Art’s Canaday Gallery.
Among the five artists who created the 40 works is Charlie Kanwischer, a faculty member at Bowling Green
State University. Kanwischer created dozen silverpoint drawings depicting homes within a half-mile
radius of the museum.
Also in the exhibit are: dioramas of Joe Fig’s studios; post-apocalyptic scenes by Lori Nix; miniature
ecosystems by Gregory Euclide; and a video installation depicting a topsy turvy Japanese home by Tabaimo
The "XS" – extremely small and efficient, the smallest model home designed by the Tumbleweed
Tiny House Company, is also included in the exhibit.
As part of the opening artist Euclide talk about his work at 7:30 p.m. in the Little Theater. Free guided
tours will also be offered.
The show continues through March 25.
