The Jazz Lab Band II, directed by Jeff Halsey, will perform at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore
Musical Arts Center.
WEDNESDAY
Comedian Kate Rigg will perform in Asian Comedy Show ’11 from 8 to 10 p.m.in 101 Olscamp. Profiled in
"Race is the Place," she has performed on NBC Late Friday, CTV Women of The Night, NPR, CBC
Radio, Sirius Radio, Comedy Central and PBS. Sponsored by Asian Communities United. Tickets are $5.
THURSDAY
The 2010 Russian film "Krai (The Edge)" will be screened at 7:30 p.m. Gish Film Theater in
Hanna Hall. Set at the end of World War II, the hero is torn between the woman he loves and a mysterious
train in the woods.
Author of "In the Devil’s Territory" Kyle Minor opens the Winter Wheat Festival with a reading
in Prout Chapel at 7:30 p.m.
The University Band and Concert Band will perform at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts
Center.
FRIDAY & SATURDAY
Mid-American Review hosts its Winter Wheat festival Writers from every background are invited to attend
sessions for poetry, fiction, blogging and more. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18.

FRIDAY
Poet Ann Townsend, who has written two poetry collections, will read at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel as part
of the Winter Wheat festival. She is the Director of Creative Writing at Denison University.
The Wind Symphony concert, featuring Dr. William Mathis on the trombone, begins at 8 p.m. in Kobacker
Hall.
SATURDAY
"Millennium Sculpture: Iron Pour" will be taking place at 10 a.m. in the Fine Arts Center
courtyard. Faculty and students will heat up iron, pour it into wax molds and watch it cool.
Seth Fried, author of "The Great Frustration," will read his work at 4 p.m. in the
Bowen-Thompson Student Union Theater as part of the Winter Wheat festival.
The Grammy Award-winning group New York Voices will perform a Festival Series concert at 8 p.m. in
Kobacker Hall. Tickets are $21 to $36 and $17 for students. Call (419) 372-8171 or 1-800-589-2224.
Hank Foreman from Boone, N.C., will present his recent work at the ARTalk at 7 p.m. in 1101 Fine Arts
Center.. He is an artist and the associate vice chancellor of University and Cultural Affairs at
Appalachian State University. The event begins
SUNDAY
The A Cappella Choir and University Women’s Chorus concert perform at 3 p.m. Sunday in Kobacker Hall.
Tickets in advance are $10 and $7 for students and senior citizens, and $3 more each the day of the

"Millennium Sculpture: Concept, Craft, Tradition and Trends in American Sculpture" continues
through Saturday in the Dorothy Uber Bryan Gallery in the School of Art.
