Owens performers to sound off

Students and faculty at Owens Community College will present the culmination a semester’s worth of with
Creative Noises Live performance series starting Tuesday and continuing through Dec. 4.
Performances will be staged in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, off Oregon Road in Perrysburg
Township.
Events, all the in center’s rotunda unless noted, scheduled are:
Tuesday, November 8
• Ben Barefoot and Matt Truman will presents solo sets of their original songs, Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the
rotunda.
• The Owens Guitar Ensemble, Wednesday.
• The Silent Actors, students within the character movement class present original pantomime
performances, Thursday.
• Owens Jazz Express, Nov. 15, 2 p.m.
• Owens Choir and Voice Performance, Nov. 16 2 p.m.
• Harp instructor Denise Grupp-Verbon will feature original compositions and duets with fellow harpist
Judy Riley, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. in the center’s Studio Theatre.
• Owens Pop Music Ensemble will perform a wide array of styles including rock, soul and funk, Nov. 17 at
2 p.m.Monday,
• Owens Choir Concert will sing folk songs and spirituals, Nov. 28, 8 p.m. Mainstage Theatre.
• Owens Dance Showcase will include ballet, jazz, hip hop and modern dance, Dec. 2 7 p.m., Mainstage
Theatre.
• Owens Concert Band Holiday Concert, Dec. 4 at 2:30 p.m., Mainstage Theatre.
