Xavier Clegg participated in the Concordia Language Villages program by attending Lago del Bosco, the
Italian Language Village in Hackensack, Minn. Clegg is the grandson of Linda and John Clegg, Rudolph. By
attending Lago del Bosco, the Italian Language Village, Clegg experienced a simulated visit to another
country. Clegg received an Italian Language Scholarship. Concordia Language Villages, a program of
Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., offers programs year-round to all ages. Sites are located
throughout the north woods of Minnesota.
Capital University has announced the names of students who achieved academic distinction during the
spring 2011 semester. Carrie Moenter, Pemberville, and Marie Ramirez, Northwood, made the dean’s list.
Shayna Hague, Northwood, and Jenna Swartz, North Baltimore, made the president’s list.To be named to the
dean’s list, students must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA. The president’s list honors students who
earned at least a 3.85 GPA.
