Ruth Marie Lange and Matthew Robert Curtis exchanged wedding vows June 25 at Providence Lutheran Church,
Holland.
Pastor Dennis King led the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Lois Lange, Devil’s Hole Road, Bowling Green. The groom is the son
of Jim and Debbie Curtis, Swanton.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white gown with pleated straps, a scoop neckline and
beaded lace across the empire bodice. The pleating flowed into the skirt with pins and tucks creating
billows with lace accents down the semi-cathedral train. She chose a two-tier, elbow-length white veil
edged in metallic beading.
Sister of the bride Becky Bethel, Waterville, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lynnee Hogendoorn, Dayton; Holly Stoyanovich and Wendy Wing, both of Toledo; and Amber
Backus, Spring Valley, Ill.
They wore floor-length teal gowns with chiffon bodices accented with floral shoulder detailing, and full
satin skirts with ruched waists.
Katie Curtis of Temperance, Mich., niece of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid. Her dressed had a
chiffon spaghetti strap bodice with flower detail along the scoop neckline, a ruched waist and long
satin skirt.
The flower girl was Courtney Kennedy, Swanton. She was attired in a sleeveless white satin dress with
flower detail along the scoop neckline.
Ring bearer was Alex Corser, Sylvania, cousin of the groom.
Ken Curtis, Perrysburg, served as best man for his brother.
Groomsmen were Paul Lange, Bowling Green, brother of the bride; Andy Kennedy, Swanton; Pat Kennedy,
Whitehouse; and Dan Roble, Charlotte, N.C.
Jake Curtis of Temperance, nephew of groom, was junior groomsman.
Nephews of the bride Ben Bethel and Luke Bethel, both of Waterville; and Justin Lange, Bowling Green,
were helpers.
Organist was Brian Myers and vocalists were Tina Joseph and Mary Brucker-Horman.
A reception was held at Holland Gardens with music furnished by Ultimate Nights.
The newlyweds honeymooned at the Royal Playa del Carmen in Mexico and are now at home at 237 Mallard
Road, Perrysburg.
The bride is a graduate of Eastwood High School and Bowling Green State University. She is employed by
Kingston Healthcare Co., Toledo.
The groom graduated from Swanton High School and BGSU and is employed by TEMBEC, Toledo.
