Otsego Class of 1966 holds 45-year reunion
TONTOGANY – The Otsego Class of 1966 held a three-day 45-year class reunion Sept. 9-11 at places close to
the hearts of those attending.
The reunion started on Friday night with many meeting at Doc’s in Tontogany.
A Saturday evening dinner was held at Lybarger-Grimm American Legion Hall. Rev. John Ward acknowledged in
prayer all deceased classmates as well as present and past military personnel. After dinner, the
"Hot Flashes" performed ’50s and ’60s song routines, followed by classmates’ recognitions and
trivia questions.
Former guidance counselor Wayne Swartz and retired teacher Bernard Scott and his wife, Jean, spent the
evening with the class.
On Sunday a brunch was served at Nazareth Hall. Tours of the hall were given by classmate Harold Hurm,
who attended the former military academy as a residential student.
The DVD, classmate contact booklet and class picture are still available to those who were unable to
attend by contacting a committee member.
The class anticipates holding a 50-year reunion in 2016.
Oral contraceptives recalled
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) – Qualitest Pharmaceuticals is recalling multiple lots of birth-control pills
because of a packaging error that could lead to incorrect dosing and unintended pregnancies.
The company says the error caused the weekly tablet orientation to be reversed and obscured the lot
number and expiration date on certain packages. The problem could lead to inadequate contraception if
women don’t get the proper daily regimen of the drug.
The recall affects certain lots of Cyclafem, Emoquette, Gildess, Orsythia, Previfem and Tri-Previfem.
Doctors, pharmacists and patients seeking more details can call Qualitest at (877) 300-6153.
Qualitest Pharmaceuticals is a unit of Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc.
