Samantha M. LaPierre and Bryan Wilbur exchanged wedding vows Aug. 6 at the Historic Church of St. Patrick
in Toledo.
Deacon Thomas Carone led the 2 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Sharon LaPierre, West Poe Road, Bowling Green. The groom is the
son of Kenneth and Janet Wilbur of Oregon, Ohio.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a silk A-line gown with sweetheart neckline that had
ruching which enveloped the bodice and assymmetrically extended below the waist, with the train falling
into a balloon hem.
Sister of the bride Jessica LaPierre, Bowling Green, was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer LaPierre, sister of the bride, and Kim Shetzer, both of Bowling Green; Holly
Hess, Oak Harbor, and Heather Whitus, Fort Riley, Kansas, both sisters of the groom.
They each wore strapless watermelon colored ballgowns with ruching.
Courtney Whitus, Fort Riley, niece of the groom, was flower girl.
Ring bearer was Zavier Hess, Oak Harbor, nephew of the groom.
Serving as best man was Joshua Cox, Napoleon, cousin of the groom.
Groomsmen were Jason Frank, Northwood; Adam Wilbur and Richard Frank, both of Oregon, all brothers of the
groom; and Matthew Hagadorn, Toledo.
Joshuah Adams, Auburn Wash., and Zachary Phillips, Oregon, were ushers.
A reception was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Bowen Thompson Student Union at Bowling Green State
University.
The newlyweds took a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., and are making their home in Perrysburg.
The bride graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2006 and attended Owens Community College. She is
employed at Wood County Hospital.
The groom graduated from Clay High School in 2007 and Owens Community College in 2011 with a B.S. in Fire
Science. He is employed by Toledo Edison.
