Miami University students who achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average for second semester 2010-11 were
named to the president’s list recognizing academic excellence. The list included Maggie Green, Ross
McDermott, Sara Stefanich and Kelle Moracz, all of Bowling Green; and Charlotte Freeman, Caitlin
McAnall, Dorothy Lakis and Justin Mills, all of Perrysburg.
Bluffton University has announced its dean’s list for the spring term. Students with a GPA of 3.6 or
higher were eligible for the dean’s list and included Christopher Malkowski, Perrysburg; and Anthony
McGeorge, Northwood. Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 received distinction for continued
high achievement, and included Matthew Weisenborn and Crystal Augsburger, both of Bowling Green; and
Roland Genson, Millbury.
Kaitlyn Rife, Bowling Green, earned a 4.0 grade point average for spring semester, and was named on the
president’s list at Mercy College of Northwest Ohio. She’s enrolled in the bachelor of science in
nursing program.
Jordan Duncan, Fostoria; Kirsten Wegman, Northwood; and David Hirt and Kylie Weglo, both of Perrysburg,
qualified for the dean’s list for spring semester at the University of Akron.
Christy Titus, Bowling Green, has graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a bachelor of arts
degree in communication.
Katherine Broderick, Perrysburg, graduated summa cum laude from Boston College with a bachelor of arts
degree in English.
Lindsey Nelson, Bowling Green, was named on the dean’s list for spring semester at Kent State University.
She is a junior this year and is majoring in middle childhood education with a math and science
concentration.
Benjamin Pinkelman, Haskins, has been welcomed into a new Honors Program at Shawnee State University,
Portsmouth. To qualify for the program, students must maintain at least a 3.3 GPA while taking the
specially designed Honors courses.
Meghan Valle, Perrysburg, was named to the spring semester dean’s list at DePaul University in Chicago.

Morgan Arnold, a 2011 graduate of Elmwood High School, has been awarded a $2,000 scholarship from
Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS) headquartered in Hilliard, with three locations in Findlay. She is
attending the University of Findlay this fall majoring in early childhood education. She is the daughter
of Melissa and Steve Arnold of Bloomdale.
Amelia Struffolino, of Millbury, and Stephanie Dunn, Perrysburg, graduated in August from Kaplan
University. Both earned an associate in applied science in health sciences.
Jacob A. Goliver, Bowling Green, has earned a bachelor of science, cum laude, from Grand Valley State
University, Allendale, Mich.
Kristine Mallinson and Lyman Spitzer, both of Perrysburg, plus Gabrielle Rickle, Fostoria, and Jessica
Borsani, North Baltimore, received scholarships to attend Denison University in Granville. All four are
members of Denison’s Class of 2015. Mallinson and Rickle each received a Denison Founders Scholarship,
which approximates one-half tuition and is based on academic achievement, leadership and personal merit.
Spitzer and Borsani each received a Denison Alumni Scholarship, which approximates one-quarter to
one-third of tuition and is based on academic achievement, leadership and personal merit.
