Robbie Abdelhoq, a conflict transformation degree recipient at Eastern Mennonite University,
Harrisonburg, Va., was recognized as a member of the 2011 graduating class. Abdelhoq is a native of
Northwood.
Eric Androvich, of Grand Rapids, has graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Arts. He
earned a bachelor of fine arts in cinematography through the School of Filmmaking.
The University of Findlay has released its spring dean’s list. Students from Wood County earning the
honor included Brooke Gottfried, Stephanie Kaiser and Alexander Reiner, all of Bowling Green; Casey
Pritts and Samantha Shaffer, Cygnet; Nicholas Elchert, Millbury; Lindy Donaldson and Kaitlyn Scheid,
Pemberville; Colin McKibben, Portage; Samantha Holman and Morgan Podach, of Risingsun; Kelly Sue Garvey,
Rudolph; Emily Reynolds, of Wayne; Danielle Bunde, Emily Garbig, Seth Hoffmann, Emily Nunn, Philip
Reddick, Peter Samberg and Angela Seifert, all of Perrysburg; Kayla Chap-man, Kristi Chapman, Emily
Curtis, Brittany Dauterman, Nathan Meek, Curtis Smithey and Cory Stewart, all of Bloomdale; and Caitlin
Bosak, North Baltimore.
Tyler Bowlus, Pemberville, made the spring dean’s list at Marquette University. In May, he earned a
bachelor of science in biomechanics.
Angelina Ciccantelli, Perrysburg, has earned a bachelor of arts in psychology from Marquette University
in Milwaukee.
Patrick Drake, Perrysburg, was named to the dean’s list for the 2010-11 academic year at Lake Forest
(Ill.) College. He had to have a GPA of at least 3.60 for two consecutive semesters to earn the honor.

Heidelberg University has released the names of undergraduate and graduate students who received diplomas
during commencement ceremonies on May 14-15. The list includes Jeffrey Snow, Haskins, bachelor of
science, accounting, magna cum laude; Lori Schwab, Northwood, bachelor of science, biology, cum laude;
Brenda Babcock, Weston, master of arts in education; Peggy Burke, Rossford, master of arts in education;
Brande Calmes, Walbridge, master of arts in education; Gregory Day, of Wayne, bachelor of arts, sport
management; Melissa Hamons, Northwood, bachelor of science, athletic training; Christine Jaksetic,
Walbridge, bachelor of arts, public relations; Henry Zeller, Grand Rapids, master of arts in education.
Bowling Green residents who earned degrees include Dana Bockbrader, bachelor of arts, music; Rhonda
Bovia, bachelor of science, accounting, cum laude; Danielle Carrasquillo, master of arts in education;
Mackenzie Henry, bachelor of science, religion; Michael Schroeder, bachelor of science, accounting; and
Beverly Smith, master of business administration. Perrysburg residents who earned degrees include Cartho
Bennett, master of arts in education; Gregory Doyle, bachelor of arts, political science, cum laude;
Gregory Fish, bachelor of science, business administration; Lauren Fish, master of arts in education;
Melissa Orzechowski, bachelor of science, psychology; and Melissa Shomody, bachelor of science,
chemistry.
The following students were awarded honors for the spring semester at Mercy College of Northwest Ohio. To
be named on the president’s list, a student must achieve a 4.0 GPA and be enrolled for 12 or more credit
hours. Those honorees included Codey Tyda, Bowling Green. To be named on the dean’s list, a student must
achieve a grade point average of 3.3 or higher and be enrolled full time. That list included Shannon
Buccini, Olivia Micenec and Danielle Stewart, Bowling Green; Tracie Bowman and Abigail Hoffman,
Northwood; Rhea Black and Maxwell Nusser, Pemberville; Tina Fausnaugh, Portage; Heather Abbey and
Natasha Zvansky, of Rossford; Jodi Stacey, Weston; and Sara Koepfler, Lindsay Peterson and Tonya
Pummill, all of Perrysburg. On the honor’s list, for achieving a grade point average of 3.3 or higher
and be enrolled part time, were Angela Bumpus, Beth DenBesten, Janna Gaster, Cassandra Gordon and Rachel
Miller, all of Bowling Green; Andrea Bennett, Millbury; Amanda Laytart and Beth Webber, Rossford; and
