Nature-themed parks programs going on this fall in BG
Registration is now open for fall sessions of both Young Gardeners and Young Ones and Companions through
Bowling Green Parks and Recreation.
Both programs are for children ages 21‚Ñ2 to 5 with their adult companion.
Stories, crafts, snacks and hikes are included in the program. Each program is conducted from 10 to 11:30
a.m. on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
The cost for a session is $12 for Bowling Green residents and $15 for non-residents.

577 classes for September
PERRYSBURG – Music and art classes for children will be offered this month at the 577 Foundation at 577
E. Front St.

• Partners in Fun is an art project class for 3 to 4 year olds with an adult. The leader is Carol
Jambard-Sweet and the limit is 14 per class.
The classes are Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m. The fee is $5 per child.
For next week’s class, make a recipe holder and magnet for the fridge so the kitchen is ready for fall.
On Sept. 20 make a scarecrow, and on Sept. 27 kids can create a fall wreath.
• Musical Jamboree is for 2 to 4 year olds with an adult. Dance, play games, sing, listen to stories and
use toy musical instruments to make music.
Take home a set of lollipops and a CD of songs. The leader is Elaine Sneider and the limit is 12.
Classes are Mondays, Sept. 19 and 26, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 and Nov. 7.
Two times will be offered, 10 to 10:45 a.m. or 11 to 11:45 a.m. The fee is $58 per child.
Celebrate butterflies and bugs at the Toledo Zoo’s festival
TOLEDO – A Butterfly and Bug Science Festival will be held Saturday at the Toledo Zoo.
Visit Nature’s Neighborhood for a science day dedicated to the creatures that crawl, float and flutter.
