Heartbeat to train volunteers
TOLEDO – Heartbeat of Toledo, a pregnancy support center, is looking for volunteers to serve at either of
its two Toledo area offices. A new volunteer training is planned for Thursday from 1-3 p.m. at
Heartbeat’s new office, 4041 W. Sylvania Ave., Suite LL4, across from Westfield Franklin Park.
The other Heartbeat location is 1020 Varland Ave.
Heartbeat provides information, free pregnancy testing, free ultrasounds, options counseling, and
assistance to women dealing with unplanned pregnancies. The agency also offers prenatal and parenting
classes where moms and moms-to-be can earn baby items while learning how to become better parents.
Volunteer training consists of a two-hour orientation followed by supervised training with a current
