University Choral Society auditioning new voices

Open auditions the College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University’s University Choral Society
are now underway.
Those interested in joining the chorus should call the college at (419) 372-2186. The chorus rehearses on
Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the College of Musical Arts, with the first rehearsal scheduled for
Aug, 30.
Mark Munson, director of choral activities at the university, directs the chorus.
On Dec. 3 and 4 the chorus will perform Handel’s "Messiah" with soloists and the Toledo
Symphony Orchestra as at the Toledo Museum of Art.
On Feb. 25 the University Choral Society, along with other BGSU choruses, soloists, and the Bowling Green
Philharmonia, will perform an opera gala program to celebrate the opening of new Wolfe Center on campus.

On March 25, the University Choral Society and Philharmonia will perform Mozart’s "Requiem" in
Rosary Cathedral in Toledo.
On April 21, the chorus will perform Prokofiev’s "Alexander Nevsky" with the Lima Symphony
Orchestra and Chorus in Lima’s Crouse Performance Hall.
