Dan and Sylvia (Terrell) Smith, rural Weston, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family
trip to Panama in Central America, that included traveling through the canal from Pacific to Atlantic.

They were married July 22, 1961 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Custar.
The Smiths have two children, Kyle, Atlanta, and Kim Griffith, rural Weston. They have two
granddaughters, Savannah and Sommer.
Dan Smith is a lifelong farmer. Sylvia Smith retired from Bowling Green State University in 2001. Since
retirement they have spent winters in Mesa, Ariz., and autumns at their mountain home in Pennsylvania’s
