Teresa Milbrodt back in BG to read from her comic novel

Teresa Milbrodt, a former Bowling Green resident, will read from her new novel "American
Reliquary" Saturday at 7 p.m. at Grounds for Thought, 174 S. Main St., Bowling Green
The book follows a 64-fyear-old hairdresser Minerva who loses her finger and job in the span of two
months, she starts researching famous Americans who allegedly lost body parts.
Minnie launches her own tour of American reliquaries, seeking out Paul Revere’s thumb, Aaron Burr’s foot,
Theodore Roosevelt’s eyebrows, and Frederick Douglass’ second-to-the-last breath, as part of her
ultimate search for Sarah Bernhardt’s long-lost leg.
Milbrodt, who has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Bowling Green State University, has published
stories in a number of literary journal, several of which have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize.
She now teaches creative writing and English at Western State College of Colorado in Gunnison, Co.
