Huron Playhouse runs June 28-July 30

HURON – The Huron Playhouse, Ohio’s oldest continuing summer theater, has announced the bill of plays for
its 63rd consecutive season.
The season runs Tuesday through Saturday evenings, June 28 through July 30. Curtain time for all
productions is 8 p.m. in the McCormick School auditorium on Ohio Street in Huron.
Rodgers and Hart’s "snappy, happy, and sassy" musical revue, "Beguiled Again: The Songs of
Rodgers & Hart," music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Lorenz Hart, will open the 2011
season in delightful fashion, playing June 28 through July 2.
An all-time favorite comedy, "Cheaper By the Dozen,"adapted by Christopher Sergel from the book
by Frank Gilbreth and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey will run July 5-9.
The musical "A Little Night Music,"with music and lyrics by one of America’s most outstanding
musical theatre artists, Stephen Sondheim, book by Hugh Wheeler, will be performed July 12 through 16.

The sophisticated comedy "Don’t Dress for Dinner," by Marc Camoletti, adapted by Robin Hawdon,
will be staged July 19-23.
The season ends with Rodgers and Hammerstein’s beloved and uplifting "The King and I,"music by
Richard Rodgers with book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, based on "Anna and the King of
Siam" by Margaret Landon, running July 26 through 30.
There will be open auditions for all shows except "Don’t Dress for Dinner.". Audition dates,
times, and shows will be announced later.
