BG FFA honors proficiency awards

Nearly three dozen proficiency awards were presented April 30 to members of the Bowling Green FFA chapter
for their excellence in various work projects including those recognized for their entrepreneurship in
various ag-related businesses. Placement awards are for working at an established business,
organization, home or other farm, or a similar operation.
Five chapter members earned two such awards. Tommy Roller was recognized for Agricultural Mechanics
Repair and Maintenance, as well as Wildlife Management, Alexus Dauterman, earned both the Beef
Production award, sponsored by Wood County Beef Producers and Diversified Livestock Production; while
Eddie Tolles, was recognized for Agricultural Communications and Swine Production; all for
entrepreneurship. Marissa Milligan earned awards for Agricultural Services and Diversified Horticulture,
both for placement.
Logan Brubaker received the Home and Community Improvement award. Kelby Kale earned Home and Community
Development entrepreneurship and Beef Production placement, which also was sponsored by the county beef
producers.
Other entrepreneurship awards were presented to Aaron Cramer Agricultural Mechanics Repair and
Maintenance; Samantha King, Agricultural Sales; Zac Lucas, Agricultural Services; Thomas Foos,
Diversified Agricultural Production; Hailey McCarron, Equine Science; Laura West, Outdoor Recreation;
Mollie Weiker, Poultry Production; Eddie Cantwell, Small Animal Production; Devin Spencer, Specialty
Animal Production; Megan Ingraham, Turf Grass Production; and Shannon Joseph, Vegetable Production.
Other placement awards were presented to Jacob Nijakowski, Agricultural Communications; Jared Goris,
Agricultural Mechanics Design and Fabrication; Henry Apple, Diversified Crop Production; Brandon
Morelock, Emerging Agricultural Technology; Taylor Jackson, Equine Science; Ben Wagner, Home and
Community Development; Ashley Ford, Landscape Management; Jay Wilson, Nursery Operations; Tanner Engle,
Outdoor Recreation; Logan Wick, Poultry Production; Erin Kielmeyer, Specialty Animal Production; Cody
Lang, Turf Grass Production; and Jamie Bihn, Vegetable Production.
