Penta’s FCCLA students earn awards

High school students enrolled in programs through Penta Career Center in Perrysburg recently earned top
awards during the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) regional rally held at Penta
in March.
Forty-one students qualified for the Ohio FCCLA State Leadership Conference held last weekend. Students
in Penta’s Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, and Teaching Professions programs competed against
students from other school districts during the regional rally.
Local winners who qualified for state included the Illustrated Talk senior team of Erin Collins,
Rossford; Carl Brown, Lake; and Brittney Miller, Genoa; the Illustrated Talk junior team of Lauren
Momany, Lake; Pam Espen, Bowling Green; and Kayla Long, Perrysburg; the Advocacy senior team of Toni
Garno, Bowling Green; Cymantha Rainey, Rossford; and Delaney Gentry, Eastwood; the Applied Technology
senior team of Mandy Warner, Lake; Katlin Howard, Rossford; and Allison Kutchenriter, Genoa; and Applied
Technology junior team of Hannah Clevenger, Springfield; Chelsey Musil, Lake; and Gabby Seger,
Northwood; the National Programs in Action senior team of Julie Getzinger, Rossford, and Arika
Michaelis, Woodmore; the Focus on Children junior team of Kayleigh Aikman, Lake; Olivia Rice, Otsego;
and Katlyn Schultze, Woodmore; the senior Culinary team of Melinda Anderson, Perrysburg; Jonmorgan
Smith, Anthony Wayne; Austin Flores, Northwood; and Elena Enriquez, Bowling Green; Megan Hess,
Northwood, in Garde Manger; Stephanie Ream, Perrysburg, in Garde Manger; and Dekoada Clawson, Lake, in
Garde Manger.

Planning; Kimberly Downey, Rossford, Teach and Train; the National Programs in Action senior team of
Molly Murray, Lake, and Alexis Chapman, Springfield; the National Programs in Action junior team of
Hannah Strayer, Genoa; Chelsea Whitcomb, Swanton; and Samantha Starkey, Eastwood; the junior Culinary
team of Summer Johnson, Anthony Wayne; Dustin Roseman, Otsego; and Tiffany Sting, Lake; the junior
Culinary team of Taylor Hamilton, Lake, and Jonathan Cheney, Bowling Green; the senior Culinary team of
Meagan Krumm, Genoa; Allison Hunt, Bowling Green; and Reyes Rodriguez, Rossford; and Tyler Vermilyea,
Eastwood, in Garde Manger.
