Fish, bake sale Friday at VFW
An all-you-can eat yellow lake perch fish fry (the last until fall) will be held Friday from 4:30 to 7
p.m. at VFW Post No. 1148, 719 S. Main St. in Bowling Green.
Dinner is $12 and includes French fries, cole slaw, baked beans and roll.
The Ladies Auxiliary will hold a bake sale during the same hours.
BG Rotary changes program
Hans Kolan, a Civil War re-enactor, is the new guest for Thursday’s Bowling Green Rotary Club meeting. He
will talk about some of the events he participates in, and will have props including full size cannons
for viewing, weather permitting.
Club members meet at 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the Bowling Green Country Club.
Kiwanis learn about cycling
The Bowling Green Kiwanis Club will learn more about motorcycling and the cycling culture at its regular
meeting at noon on Thursday at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Tim Sherman, the owner and operator of Signature Harley Davidson in Perrysburg, will present the program.
Pembervill post hosts fish fry
PEMBERVILLE – Freedom Post No. 183 American Legion will hold a fish fry on Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The
all-you-can-eat meal is $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 6-12; children 5 and under eat free.
Homemade pies and a baked sale also will be offered.
