CYGNET – One woman was taken to Wood County Hospital following a crash on Cygnet Road west of the village
late Tuesday.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, at 23:35 p.m. Meredith Dettef, Custar, driving a 1999
Lincoln Navigator, was eastbound on Cygnet Road when, she stated, a deer appeared in the road in front
of her. She then drove off the right side of the road and struck a ditch, causing her vehicle to spin
and land upright inside the ditch facing southbound.
She was transported from the scene by McComb EMS with non-incapacitating injuries.
