North Main St. bids are opened
The apparent low bidder for the North Main Street project in Bowling Green is Digoin Suburban Excavating
of Cleveland at $7.2 million.
City Engineer Brian O’Connell told the BG Board of Public Utilities Monday night that Digoin’s bid was
less than 1 percent above the $7.2 million estimate. It was also the lowest bid opened late last week by
the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The project runs from Dill Street to just south of Newton Road and includes a rebuild of the Poe Road
intersection.
Preliminary infrastructure work on the project has been under way for several months. The project is to
be completed in 2012.
