Rotary topic is megafarms
The Rotary Club of Bowling Green will hear an report on large-scale chicken farms as part of its meeting
Thursday.
Ed Steinburger, of Intervet, will be the guest speaker.
The meeting will start at 11:45 a.m. at the Bowling Green County Club.
Wildflowers featured in parks
The Wood County Park District will host a "Wildflower Wednesdays" program in April and May.
Discover the parks’ spring beauties from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. this Thursday at Cedar Creeks Preserve; on
April 20 at Cricket Frog Cove; on May 4 at Bradner Preserve; and on May 18 at Rudolph Savanna.
Kiwanis pancakes served Saturday
PERRYSBURG – Perrysburg Kiwanis Club will have the Easter Bunny join it for an all-you-can-eat pancake
breakfast on April 16 at the
Schaller Memorial Bldg., 130 W. Indiana Ave. from 8 a.m. to noon.
A $5 donation is requested for the pancakes and sausage. Children under age 3 can eat free.The Easter
Bunny will have a special treat for the children.
There also will be a 50/50 raffle, plus drawings for donated prizes.
Blood drives this week
Two American Red Cross blood drives are scheduled for Wood County this week:
¥ Today through Thursday, noon to 6 p.m. daily, Bowling Green State University Bowen-Thompson Student
Union. Donate and receive a free pint of ice cream.
¥ Today until 6 p.m., Bradner American Legion, 209 W. Crocker St.
