Perrysburg man arrested for rape
PERRYSBURG – A man is being held on rape charges after his arrest following a search warrant at his home
Tuesday morning.
According to Perrysburg Police, Kevin Scott, 49, was arrested after detectives executed a search warrant
at a residence in the 400 block of West Third Street.
The investigation was carried out by the Police Division’s juvenile detective in response to the report
of past offenses involving the sexual molestation of a child which were reported to have occurred June
1, 2003 to Aug. 31, 2006. The victim in each of the alleged offenses was the same person.
Scott was charged with four counts of rape involving a child under the age of 13, a first-degree felony.
He is being held at the Wood County Justice Center, with bond set at $300,000.
Thrivent 30023 will meet Sunday
PEMBERVILLE – The April meeting of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Chapter No. 30023 will be held on
Sunday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 14545 New Rochester Road, Pemberville. The meeting will begin at
2:30 p.m. and is open to all Thrivent members.
Gen. Custer is history topic
GRAND RAPIDS – "Gen. George Custer in the Civil War," a presentation by author Judith J. Justus
and hosted by the Historical Society of Grand Rapids, is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. in the library meeting
room, 17600 Bridge St.
Presentation highlights include the Northwest Ohio connection to Custer’s parents, who raised a family in
Tontogany.
Library accepts ‘Food for Fines’
FOSTORIA – A "Food for Fines" promotion will highlight National Library Week at the Kaubisch
Memorial Public Library, April 11-16.
Patrons may reduce library fines and benefit the Sharing Kitchen by donating non-perishable food items.
One dollar will be credited to a library accounts for each food item donated.
