In recent weeks, a Walbridge man was sentenced to six years in prison for his sex-related crimes; a
Toledo man was ordered to serve seven years in prison for his drug-related crimes; and a Perrysburg man
was sentenced to prison for his theft convictions and ordered to pay $8,850 in total restitution to four
victims.
Kayl Lusher, 52, of Walbridge, pleaded guilty to gross sexual imposition involving a young girl or girls.
The indictment listed three victims all under age 13, with two of the girls under the age of 10. One
court document indicates at least two of the counts may be for the same victim. All the incidents were
to have occurred on Dec. 11, 2010. Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Robert Pollex ordered two years
in prison for each count, and ordered those sentences to be consecutive to each other. Lusher was also
ordered to pay a $500 fine.
The accused also stipulated to a community control violation of his theft conviction in a 2007 case.
Pollex ordered 12 months in prison in that case and ordered that time to be served concurrent to the
others.
Lusher entered the pleas March 22 through a plea agreement. He also must register as a Tier II sexual
offender and have no contact with the victims.
Judge Reeve Kelsey ordered Victor Terry, 28, of Toledo, to spend seven years in prison for his conviction
of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a second-degree felony. Through a plea agreement, Terry
also entered a plea of guilty to complicity to trafficking in heroin with a specification for which
Kelsey ordered an 11-month sentence. Three other similar charges of complicity to trafficking in heroin
were dismissed per the agreement. Terry must also pay a fine of $7,500, and have his driver’s license
suspended for a year. In addition, $963 seized during the investigation was ordered forfeited.
Rocky Bennett, 45, of Perrysburg was sentenced to two consecutive 11-month sentences for theft. Judge
Alan Mayberry also ordered the sentences to be consecutive to another sentence out of Lucas County.
The restitution ordered was to victims located in Perrysburg, Bowling Green and Walbridge.
Bennett pleaded guilty to both counts in January.
