Exhibit showcases art mixing new, old media

TOLEDO – A reception for the exhibition for an exhibit of work including work by a Bowling Green State
University art instructor and a BGSU graduate will be held tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Parkwood
Gallery.
Exhibiting work are:
¥ Anthony Fontana, learning technologies consultant and art instructor of art at BGSU, uses a conceptual
approach to create a dialogue between traditional art and the internet.
¥ Meghan Yarnell, who received her BFA in 3-D Studies from BGSU in 2005, imparts imagery on everyday,
functional ceramic vessels to encourage the viewer to reflect upon social norms while eating breakfast
or drinking the morning coffee.
¥ Evaleigh Stroud, who is studying for her BFA in Studio Fine Arts at the University of Toledo, creates
mixed media sculpture that explores gender roles through pairing the craft of knitting with the iconic
and in some cases commonplace subject matter of guns.
The exhibit continues through April 22. The Parkwood Gallery, 1838 Parkwood Ave., is open Monday through
Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
