Perrysburg’s Williams advances to state gymnastics meet (02-28-11)

PERRYSBURG – Perrysburg’s Chelsea Williams has advanced to the state gymnastics meet.
She was second all-around at Saturday’s district meet with a 36.100 total. Clay’s Kylee Ault was first
overall at 36.265.
Williams was first on the vault (9.725) and bars (9.000), tied for second on the floor (9.250) and tied
for 25th on the beam (8.125).
The top two teams and top five individuals in each event qualified for the state gymnastics meet at
Hilliard Bradley.
It was a tight race for the team title as Oregon Clay edged Findlay for the championship 135.95-135.775.
Perrysburg was third at 133.95.
The team competition is Friday and the individual competition is Saturday.
