Boys games postponed
Both Wood County boys basketball games scheduled for Monday were postponed due to poor weather.
The Eastwood at Woodmore game was rescheduled for Wednesday. This is the third time the game has been
postponed due to weather issues.
Also, the Lake at Fostoria St. Wendelin game was rescheduled for today.
Preston in second at Rice Invitational
HOUSTON – The Bowling Green men’s golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule with two rounds
Monday at the Rice Invitational.
Falcon junior Drew Preston is tied for second overall through 36 holes, carding a 139 (72-67) and is one
shot behind the leader.
As a team, BG is in 10th place out of 15 teams at 583. Florida Gulf Coast is in first at 566 with one
more round to complete today.
Other scores for BG were: Wes Gates, 39th-tie, 147 (74-73); Parker Hewit, 44th-tie, 148 (71-77); Chris
Melvin, 50th-tie, 149 (76-73); and Charlie Olsen, 81st, 164 (81-83).
Elmwood biddy wrestlers compete
TONTOGANY – The last Suburban Lakes League Biddy Wrestling Tournament was held at Otsego High School.
Elmwood placed fifth as a team with 20 individuals providing points.
Elmwood’s top placers were: first, Cameron Deiter and Cory Lorea; second, Dylan Jenkins, Konner Logston,
Zayne Hagemyer, Luke Hagemyer, Mason Benschoter and Noah Baker; and fourth, Cody Woodward, Zachary
Endicott, Garrett Wright, Laura McKenzie, Connar Barringer, AJ Gallegoes and Josh McKenzie.
