BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Falcon baseball team lost twice to Western Kentucky over the
weekend, dropping to 0-3 to start the season, with all three losses coming to the Hilltoppers. WKU is
3-0.
The Falcons lost 12-3 on Sunday; and 8-7 on Saturday.
On Sunday, WKU scored eight runs through the first three innings for the win.
Leading hitters for BG were: Frank Berry, 2-for-3; and Clay Duncan, 2-for-4.
On Saturday, the Falcons scored twice in the top of the ninth to tie the game before WKU scored in the
bottom of the frame for the win.
Leading hitters for BG were: Jon Berti, 3-for-5; Duncan, 2-for-4; and Patrick Martin, 2-for-3, two RBI.

Falcon tennis tops Colorado State
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Bowling Green’s women’s tennis team defeated Colorado State, 5-2 on Saturday.

The match was held at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
The Falcons are 7-3 in dual matches this season.
Falcon gymnasts fall to Ball State
Bowling Green’s gymnastics team lost to Ball State, 192.325-187.750, on Sunday. It was BG’s final home
match of the season.
The Falcons had three first-place finishes.
Monica Eaton was first on the uneven bars with a score of 9.675.
Megan Harrington was first on the balance beam at 9.700.
Dawn Christman was first in the floor exercise at 9.800.
Falcon track competes at Ann Arbor
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Several members of Bowling Green’s women’s track and field team competed at the
Silverston Invitational. No team scores were kept.
The Falcons top finishers were: Allison Weimer, third, 600, 1:38.46; and Nicole Farr, third, 800,
2:19.20.
Owens women win
COLUMBUS – The Owens Community College women’s basketball team won its ninth straight game with a 102-76
win over Columbus State on Saturday.
The Express, ranked 12th in the NJCAA Division II poll, are 25-4 overall and 10-1 in the Ohio Community
College Athletic Conference.
Leaders for Owens were: Aja Hall, 23 points, three steals; Jasmine Blanton, 19 points, eight rebounds,
three steals; Jordan Floyd, 15 points; and Brittany Morris, 12 points.
Owens men lose
COLUMBUS – Owens’ men’s basketball team fell to Columbus State, 89-63 on Saturday.
The Express are 10-19 overall and 3-8 in the OCCAC. The 19 losses ties a school record set in 2007-08.

Leaders for Owens were: Cal Edwards, 14 points, three steals; Derrick Sanderfer, 12 points; and Jerron
Jamerson, 11 points, seven rebounds.
