Rugged defenseman commits to Falcon hockey
Marcus Perrier, a 6-foot-1, 219-pound defenseman for the Sioux Falls Stampede in the United States
(Junior) Hockey League, has verbally committed to play collegiately at Bowling Green starting next
season.
Perrier, who is his team’s captain, has a franchise record 395 penalty minutes in 140 career games. He’s
tied for fourth in the USHL this season with 132 penalty minutes in 37 games.
He also has 10 goals and 17 assists and an on-ice rating of plus-4 in his career.
Perrier is from Thunder Bay, Ontario, and turns 20-years-old in August.
BG has seven recruits for next season – three defensemen, three forwards and one goalie.
The addition of Perrier continues to upgrade BG’s size for next season as the Falcons currently have a
small team. The six non-goalies for next season average just under 6-foot-1 and 192.3 pounds. – GORDON
