John A. Turkal is promoted to the rank of sergeant-major by Major Gen. David G. Perkins, commander of the
4th infantry Division currently serving in Iraq. Turkal was awarded the Psychological Operations Bronze
Medal for his service with special operations. He is the son of John and Mary Turkal, Bowling Green.
