HAMLER – Janet Elaine Brown, 69, of Hamler, died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at her
residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 16, 1941 in Hamler to the late Virgil A. and Gladys (Miley) Casteel. On June 19, 1966,
she married John J. Brown and he survives in Hamler.
Also surviving is a daughter: Jody (Bryan) Hathaway of Hamler and two grandsons: Nathaniel Hathaway and
Joshua Hathaway.
She was preceded in death also by an infant sister: Margaret Lucille Casteel.
Janet was a homemaker and had worked at Philips Display Components in Ottawa.
She was a member of Zion Church of God in Hamler where she had been treasurer, song leader and a member
of the ladies aid. She was a 1960 graduate of Hamler High School.
Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home,
Leipsic, with Rev. Jerry Cooke officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Township Cemetery, Hamler.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services Wednesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER
