Betty Cochran

Betty Provo Cochran, 91, Bowling Green, Ohio died Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Wood Haven Health
Care, where she had lived since 2007.
Betty was the daughter of the late Philip and Lena Provo, owners of the popular Provo Meats established
in Toledo in 1904. Betty helped in the family business and ran the family business after the deaths of
her parents.
She graduated from DeVilbiss High School and attended the University of Toledo. She married Jim Cochran
and they had three children, Carol, Nan and Chris. After successfully running Provo Meats and selling
the company, she worked in the jewelry business for 25 years and later retiring in 2001.
She continued her passion for DeVilbiss High School Reunions and loved keeping in touch with all of the
Golden Reunion members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Flora Goldberg, her brother, Philip Provo, her husband,
Jim Cochran, and her grandson, Jamie Tyson.
Betty is survived by her three daughters: Carol Healey-Greenberg of Philadelphia, PA; Nan Gandy of Twin
Falls, ID; and Chris Bedra of Bowling Green, OH; three grandchildren, Aaron and McKenzie Bedra and
Melanie Hering; two great-grandchildren, Sam and Jackson Hering; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are entrusted with the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., PO
Box 648, Bowling Green, OH 430402; Tele: 419/352-2171 where her funeral service will be private with
entombment in the Public Mausoleum in Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo.

Betty’s family would like to thank the management, staff and friends at Wood Haven for the loving care
