NORTH BALTIMORE — Productions remains suspended today at the Keystone Foods’ Equity Ohio plant at North
Baltimore.
Company spokesperson Maureen Garrity said Thursday night that production was suspended Thursday and
employees sent home after snow and ice on the roof of the plant caused a joist to begin to give way.
The incident occurred in the cooler section of the facility and no one was injured, she said. Structural
engineers have been called in to evaluate the damage and while the roof remains intact, Keystone
officials dismissed all employees at 1:30 p.m. out of an abundance of caution.
Production is expected to resume on Saturday, she said.
