Perrysburg-BG boys presale tickets
Presale tickets for the Perrysburg at Bowling Green boys basketball game Friday will be on sale at BGHS
today and Friday during school hours.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for students.
Falcon baseball picked third
CLEVELAND – The Bowling Green Falcon baseball team has been selected to finish third in the Mid-American
Conference East in voting by the conference coaches.
Defending MAC tournament champion Kent State was selected to finish first in the East and is the favorite
to win the tournament crown, barely edging Central Michigan. The Chippewas were selected to finish first
in the West and earned two fewer votes than Kent State to be the favorite in the MAC tournament.
Last season, Bowling Green was 18-9 while winning its third consecutive East title.
The complete poll is: East, 1) Kent State, 72; 2) Miami, 53; 3) Bowling Green, 50; 4) Ohio, 35; 5) Akron,
24; 6) Buffalo, 16; West, 1) Central Michigan, 69; 2) Toledo, 60; 3) Eastern Michigan, 46; 4) Ball

Owens women win
MENTOR – Owens Community College’s women’s basketball team downed Lakeland CC, 72-47. Owens has won six
straight games and is 22-4 overall and 7-1 in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.
Megan Miller led the Express with 15 points off the bench, 10 in the second half. Saige Meyer had her
fourth consecutive game in double figures with 14 points and added, seven rebounds, two assists and
three steals, while Brittany Morris (had 13 points, six assists and four steals.
Lakeland CC downs Owens men
MENTOR – Lakeland Community College defeated Owens CC, 86-73 Wednesday.
Owens has lost nine of its last 11 games and is 8-17 overall and 2-6 in the Ohio Community College
Athletic Conference.
Alex Sullivan had 27 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal, while William Powell had 26 points,
11 rebounds, five assists and one steal for Lakeland.
Jerron Jamerson led Owens with 18 points, three rebounds and one steal. Tommy Kralovic Jr., from Rossford
High School, had 13 points. Cal Edwards contributed 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks
and two steals.
Owens was 23-of-26 from the free-throw line.
