TODAY
The 2002 Korean film "Chihwaseon (Painted Fire)" will be screened at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film
Theater in Hanna Hall. The biography of mid-19th century self-taught painter Seung-eop follows his rise
from a rough village life to connection with the nobility.
Author Joanna Howard will read from her work at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel at Bowling Green State
University. Howard, the College of Arts and Sciences Visiting Writer, is the author of "On the
Winding Stair," collected short fiction, and a chapbook, "In the Colorless Round."
SATURDAY
The Young People’s Concert Series continues with a special Valentine’s Day performance by the students
from the voice department at 11 a.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. Admission

The Faculty Artist Series continues with the faculty showcase at 3 p.m. in the Great Gallery of the
Toledo Museum of Art.
FEB. 15
Students from the violin studio of Penny Thompson Kruse will perform at 7:30 p.m. concert at the Manor
House of Toledo’s Wildwood Metropark.
"House on Haunted Hill," starring Vincent Price as a sinister eccentric millionaire who throws
a macabre birthday party in a haunted house, will be screened at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater.
FEB. 16
Cellist Alan Smith will perform at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.
AT THE GALLERIES
The Undergraduate Art and Design Exhibition continues through Feb. 27 in the Willard Wankelman and
Dorothy Uber Bryan galleries of the Fine Arts Center. Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday,
6-9 p.m. Thursdays, and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
"Screening Reality: Erotomania," works by Max Manning, continues in the Bowen-Thompson Student
Union Gallery through Feb. 22.
