NORTH BALTIMORE – A mother and son were taken to a hospital following a snowmobile crash on private
property in Henry Township Sunday.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Kristy Kreisher, 28, North Baltimore, was operating a 1996
Arctic Cat 550 Cougar snowmobile eastbound through the yard at 5053 Mitchell Road when she lost control
of the vehicle and struck an unoccupied 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier.
That vehicle was then pushed into an unoccupied 2004 Toyota Corolla.
The vehicles are owned by Jacob Pennington, Cygnet, and Chelsea Robinson, Toledo, respectively.
Kreisher and her son, Adam Showalter, 10, North Baltimore, were taken to Wood County Hospital by North
Baltimore EMS. She reported possible injuries, while Showalter sustained non-incapacitating injuries.
Both were wearing helmets, and were ejected from the snowmobile.
The snowmobile was reportedly traveling 25 miles an hour at the time of the accident. Kreisher’s husband,
Kevin, who witnessed the crash, said that as the snowmobile approached the driveway on the property it
sounded as though its throttle was "stuck wide open," according to the accident report.
