Prep Bowling: Perrysburg boys down Maumee (02-09-11)

Perrysburg’s boys used the final Baker game to come from 12 pins down to defeat Maumee 2,600-2,575,
Monday.
Perrysburg (4-5) jumped into the lead with a season high 1,054 first game, and led 1,989-1,968 entering
the Baker games.
Tony Batey of Perrysburg led all bowlers with games of 234 and 219 for 453.
Rossford edges Springfield
At Rossford Lanes Monday, Rossford defeated Springfield, 2,250-2,231.
Rossford trailed after the first game by 26 pins, but rebounded with a 907-811 advantage the second game
to lead 1,781-1,749 entering the Baker games. The Bulldogs (9-2 overall, 7-2 in NLL) built their lead
the first two games and held on despite losing the last game by 36 pins with a 469-482 Baker total.
The Bulldogs were led by Cory Zalesak with a 201 game and a 371 series. Tony McCoy added a 366 total.
Junior varsity results
BOWLING
Springfield beat Rossford, 2,268-2,050. Kenneth Urbanyi was high for Rossford with a 358 total.
Perrysburg lost to Maumee. Josh Siebert paced Perrysburg with a 221 game and 395 total.
