BG parks to offer grants to community

The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Board voted to include up to $2,000 in grant funds in the 2011
budget to provide support for community groups which offer leisure services and recreation activities
which are beyond the scope of the city recreation program.
To qualify, programs should meet the following guidelines:
¥ At least one half of the participants must be Bowling Green residents.
¥ Participants must share in the cost of the program through dues or registration fees.
¥ The organization must display evidence of efforts to raise funds through fundraising events, etc.
¥ Programs must provide a unique experience not already provided by others.
¥ The programs must be open to all eligible residents.
Application forms and detailed criteria are available at the community center at 1245 W. Newton Road,
Bowling Green, or by calling Rachel Blickensderfer at (419) 354-6297.
Completed applications must be returned by mail to Parks and Recreation, 1291 Conneaut Ave., Bowling
Green, 43402. Applications must be postmarked no later than Feb. 25.
