Prep Roundup: Perrysburg too much for Maumee (02-04-11)

Perrysburg’s girls overpowered Northern Lakes League opponent Maumee 57-29 to stay one game behind
Northview in the NLL standings.
In Suburban Lakes League girls games, it was: Genoa 60, Otsego 41; and Lake 54, Woodmore 34.
The Gibsonburg at Eastwood girls game scheduled for Thursday was postponed and rescheduled for Monday.

In boys Midland Athletic League games, it was: Hopewell-Loudon 56, North Baltimore 40. The Seneca
East-Lakota game was postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday.
GIRLS
Perrysburg 57, Maumee 29
In Perrysburg, the Yellow Jackets improved to 13-2 overall and 9-1.
Perrysburg’s Taylor Knight led all scorers with 14 points. Becca Tudor added seven points for Perrysburg.

Also for the ‘Jackets, Kendall Tudor had six rebounds and three steals; and Kelsea Newman had six
rebounds and three assists.
For the game, Perrysburg was an impressive 21-of-29 from the free-throw line.
Maumee is 3-12, 1-8.
Genoa 60, Otsego 41
In Tontogany, Genoa remained in second place in the SLL.
Micaela Murphy led the Knights (6-12, 4-6) with nine points, while Kylee Bernthisel and Hannah Greulich
each added eight.
Julie Swartzmiller scored a game-high 16 points for Genoa, while Emily Mock added 15 points, all coming
on 3-point shots.
Genoa is 15-1, 7-1.
BOYS
Hopewell-Loudon 56,
North Baltimore 40
In Bascom, Hopewell-Loudon out-scored North Baltimore 19-9 in the fourth quarter to break open a
six-point game.
Tyler Schloemp score 21 for NB and Travis Ebright added six as the Tigers fell to 7-9, 3-5.
Hopewell’s Alec Gregg scored a game-high 27 points which included six 3-point baskets.
Hopewell is 6-8, 4-5.
BOYS BOWLING
Rossford edges Archbold
At Archbold Monday, Rossford rebounded after falling behind 64 pins in the regulation games with a
511-429 advantage in the Baker games to defeat Archbold 2,201-2,183.
Tony McCoy was high for the Bulldogs (7-2 overall and 5-2 in the NLL) with a 373 total, with Austin
Reynolds adding 371.
Perrysburg tops Springfield
At Interstate Lanes, Rossford, Perrysburg defeated Springfield on Monday 2,199-2,098. Steve Cassity led
the Yellow Jackets with a 202 game and 394 total.

Springfield defeated Perrysburg 1,874-1,789. Guy Lucas was high for Perrysburg with a 155 game and 307
total.
